Voluntary Journey Campaign 2016

The Voluntary Journey (Jornada Voluntária) takes place every year at several Brazilian cities, aiming the increase of the interest, motivation and engagement of the volunteers of the Educative Community (Comunidade Educativa) – a voluntary program from Bunge Brazil – also bringing new participants to the project.

Counting with the partnership of Goldenberg, which performed the project’s strategic planning, we have developed the creative concept of the campaign based on the philosophy that we are formed by the people and from the experiences that surround us. It’s Ubuntu at its practice – I am what I am for what we are – with the volunteers taking themselves the role of protagonists of the campaign.

As the event happened throughout the whole year, the campaign was divided in five stages:

What we did

1. We are all characters

The first phase of the campaign, which was launched at the Bunge`s Nacional Volunteers Meeting (Encontro Nacional de Voluntários da Bunge), was marked by the keywords that could complete the phrase “For us, being a volunteer is a story of…” and that connect one volunteer to another, transmitting the message that a feeling can unite several people.

2. We write our own stories

More than talking about it, we wanted to raise awareness among Bunge`s collaborators about the importance of the voluntary work. In this stage we stimulated, using short phrases to be shared on social media, reflections about volunteering and the exchange of experiences it provides.
