Occupation Laura Cardoso

In 2017, Itaú Cultural turns 30 years-old and, as part of the celebrations, it will open its exhibition centre (“Ocupação”, or Occupation) to five women who have dedicated themselves to the Brazilian arts and culture. The first person honoured is the actress Laura Cardoso. The exhibition invites the public to get to know the creative process of the actress, the records of her career and the memory of her roles, in a non-linear course that is multiple – as an example of her performance.

We were invited to develop the book that complements the exhibition and the proposal of the graphic design refers to the look of magazines and publications of the time that accompanied the career and performances of the actress. Besides the layout, the choice of yellow paper and the use of black and white images reinforce this look.
