Pequenos Exploradores
The elementary school collection named Pequenos Exploradores (Little Explorers) brings contents that arouse readers’ curiosity, encourage social interaction and instigate children in pursuit of knowledge, transforming learning into amazing discoveries.
To represent this concept we created a little group that is always on the search of new places and adventures. Different characters compose the group: the cool, the cheerful, the caring, the energetic, the athlete and the geek. We developed the concept and the personality of all characters and also directed the 3D illustration. The characters are on the cover of the books and each one of them shows a different touristic spot around the world.
The Tortoise is a sportsman explorer; he might seem slow but with his running shoes he is pretty fast. His shell is his suitcase and it has stickers from the all places he has been to.
The Alligator is a born surfer. He loves the waves but he doesn’t find them in the river where he was born. That is why he joined the group, to explore the world and, of course, to go surfing. He carries with him: his board, his sunnies, his Hawaiian lei and he never forgets to put on sunscreen.
The Anteater is known for his poor eyesight, but not this one. He counts with his glasses that help him to explore the world. His best sense is smell and, as the good researcher he is, he likes poking his nose into other people’s business. Always with his notebook, our “big nose” explorer will learn a lot of things.
The Macaw loves flying. She is a great fan of Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly solo across the Pacific. In her honor, the bird uses aviator glasses; after all, she is an explorer of the skies.
The brand uses a language based on adventure cartoons. Volumes and colors give a very fun design and we also brought an element to be used as support that varies for each subject: zeppelin, submarine, rocket…
